Rene Preval, Haiti’s president, is drafting a plan for rebuilding the country devastated by its largest earthquake ever. The plan will be presented at a donors’ conference in the US state of New York at the end of this month. But there is widespread concern in the country over whether the plan will be enough to overcome the issues that have plagued the Caribbean nation. Al Jazeera’s Steve Chao reports from Port-au-Prince. The Island of Haiti, in the capital city of Port-au-Prince was hit with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12, 2010 before 5:00pm. There has been an estimated 100000 deaths so far in a nation of 9 million people. Aid from all around the nations of the world are streaming into the island of Haiti. There are thousands of families that are displaced and hurt due to the nature of the severe quake. Many Haitians in the United States are trying their best to get in contact with their loved ones… Many are feared hurt or dead.
